06/03/10 - Poole Borough 1,
Hamworthy Rec 3. - Match Report
In a classic game of two
halves, Borough controlled proceedings in the
first period and deservedly turned around a goal
ahead. However after the break Rec stepped up the
pressure, with the turning point of the match
coming after Martin Sault was dismissed for a
second yellow card, and Borough were unable to
hold out against the league leaders, who secured
their first double against the Hornets in six
seasons.......Report

Another big Senior Cup

20/02/10 - Westland Sports 1, Poole
Borough 3. - Match Report
Having stormed into a
two-goal lead after only 10 minutes, Borough
delivered a magnificent defensive performance to
preserve their advantage before a third Hornets
goal 20 minutes from time looked likely to see
them cruise to victory. However there was a
frantic last 10 minutes after the referee awarded
the home side a penalty, showing Borough keeper
Jakub Malara a straight red card in the process
and after Westlands converted the spot kick,
Borough had to resort to some desperate defending
before they were able to celebrate an important
victory.........Report

Reserves 2. - Match Report
Following two consecutive
draws, Borough chalked up their first win of 2010
against a young Bridport side, however having
stormed into a four goal lead within an hour, the
Hornets lost their way in the final 30 minutes,
allowing the Bees to pull back two goals which
took the shine of what was otherwise a fine
performance........Report

06/02/10 - Poole
Boro Res 3, Branksome Celtic 0.
After a disappointing first
half, where the visitors had the best of the
chances and came close to opening the scoring
late on, Borough stepped up their game after the
interval and went a goal up from an Adam Watson
penalty after Luke Pidgley was bundled over in
the area after having taken the ball past three
defenders. Tim Porter came off the bench and
punished a poor back pass with an assured finish
before the game was sealed by Watson when he
scored direct from a left wing corner to progress
to the quarter finals.................Photos

|
30/01/10 - Poole Borough 0, Weymouth
Reserves 0. - Match Report
A draw was not the outcome
either side would have wanted going into this
match as both clubs struggle to stay on the heels
of the league leaders, but it was a fair result
in a game where the defences dominated and goal
scoring chances were at a premium.
