A rampant Poole Borough saw their second victory in 4 days when they overcame a youthful looking Blandford side on a sunny afternoon at Turlin Moor.

It only took 5 minutes before a defence splitting Martin Sault pass was clinically finished by James Pinder who rode a last ditch challenge to slot the ball home under the advancing keeper. It took to the 13th minute for Blandford to muster their first attack which resulted in a corner with the final shot going well over the crossbar.

The game then started to settle down and both sides tried to get forward.Martin Sault had a strong run and shot which produced a fine save and then James Pinder had another fine effort saved.

On 30 mins a rare Blandford attack was easily dealt with by Steve Tricky who was settling in well in his first Borough start in the left back position. Four minutes later Blandford again tried to get forward resulting in John Bates conceding a free kick on the right side of the area which was again well dealt with by the strong Borough defence.

After 38 mins a Danny Young interception saw him propel forward and release Sault who took one look up and prodded the ball forward to James Pinder who scored a potential goal of the season with a scorching 30 yard screamer into the roof of the net with the Blandford keeper looking on in awe.

On 44 mins with the half drawing to a close Dan Burton had to be alert to dive low to his right to stop another Blandford effort

Half time 2-0

At the start of the second half Borough were given a wake up call when a Blandford snapshot had to be deflected away for a corner. However normal service was soon resumed and on 52 mins Simon Landers shielded the ball well in the penalty area which allowed Ross Mills to open his account by gleefully firing the ball high into the roof of the net from close range.

Dan Burton again had to be alert on 54 mins when he stopped another Blandford raid. On 60 mins a game which had been played in good spirit saw the first yellow card when a late tackle on Danny Young saw him carried off and immediately replaced by Rodrigo Pons.

It was Pons who three mins later provided the through ball which gave James Pinder a one on one with the keeper and the hat-trick was duly completed as he slotted the ball home after 63 mins.

At 4-0 a double substitution saw Diego Jarrimilleo and Antony Winders replace the hard working Sault and and the hat-trick hero Pinder. Borough kept pushing forward and on 73 mins a double effort saw Pons hit the upright quickly followed by Landers hitting the rebound onto the crossbar.

On 81 mins another rare Blandford effort flew high and wide. The ball came back into play and John Bates miskicked and floundered on the floor- the danger was cleared for a corner which was again dealt with and proved to be Blandford's last effort as the game eventually petered out .

Borough gained a comfortable win with the defence proving resolute, the midfield working very hard and the front men hitting the net with consummate ease.
