Hamworthy Recreation recorded their first win of the season in the local derby at Magna Road but had to come from behind to seal victory with a late penalty.

Borough took the lead in only the 2nd minute following an own goal through Dan Haysom, but the home side drew level four minutes later through Ashley Boyt. Borough dominated the remainder of the first half, but were unable to turn that into goals as the sides turned around level.

A minute into the second half, it was Recreation who took the lead for the first time through Richard Sands. Borough saw a Dominic Allen penalty saved by home keeper Kevin Leonard, but James Pinder put Borough level again with a strike on the 70th minute.

However with only three minutes of normal time remaining, Recreation were awarded a penalty which Ryan Lucas stepped up to convert to secure all three points, with Keith Whatling seeing his second yellow card after disputing the decision.
