Borough Scorers : Alan Fooks 53; Gary Fooks 63, 66.
Borough Man of The Match : Gary Fooks

Borough recorded their fifth away win of the season and their first victory against Stourpaine in four attempts.

The first half was a tight affair the best chance for the home side coming after only 5 minutes when Simon Freak broke down the left, but Adam Nash making his debut in the Borough goal came out quickly to block the shot.

At the other end Borough failed to capitalise from the majority of possession, as they struggled to apply the finishing touch to some good approach play. On 16 minutes James Edwards just failed to get his head to a Alex Gunn cross, but the ball was only cleared as far as Alan Fooks whose shot was headed off the line.

Another good move saw Scott Smith lay the ball to Gary Fooks but his shot went narrowly wide.

HT 0-0.

Borough stepped up a gear in the second half and Smith was unfortunate to see a shot charged down. However it all came good for the Hornets on 53 minutes as a Smith shot ballooned off Sean Leaton in the home defence and Alan Fooks stole into the box to head home the loose ball.

With Borough dominating proceedings Gary Fooks doubled the score on 63 minutes with a superb opportunist goal, collecting the ball in the centre circle and seeing the home keeper off his line he lobbed the glove man from all of forty yards.

Three minutes later Gary Fooks made sure of the points as he ran on to a pass at the edge of the area and gave the keeper no chance with a sweetly struck drive. T

he home keeper did well to keep the score down as he pushed a drive from Alan Fooks onto the bar and also denied Smith a deserved goal after the forward broke through. Any chance Stourpaine created was snuffed out by the Borough defence with Tony White outstanding at the back.

Borough : Adam Nash, Shaun Clarke, Tony White, Sean Hebdon, Paul Getley (James Morrell 79), Jamie Wilson (Matt Bircumshaw 69), Alex Gunn, James Edwards, Scott Smith, Alan Fooks (Andy Curtis 82), Gary Fooks.

Manager's Quotes..........

Borough manager Peter Morrell said: In the first half it was fairly even but our overall effort was much better after the interval. It was a sticky pitch and in the second half we just passed it around and made somegood opportunities. "I think we can match anyone on our day if we get our passing play going but at the moment wc are looking for 5ome consistency. I do not think our keeper had a shot to save in the second half."

Losing boss Moe Streak said: "Not a lot happened as far as we were concerned. We were not too bad in the first half but we fell apart after the break. They got a fluke first goal but we did not play at all. "I was a bit disappointed with the overall performance especially after the way we played in the last few weeks. We had a couple of chances early on but if you do not put the ball in the net then you do not win. We are not playing with the same team twice at the moment which means we are struggling to get an continuity. However, we just have to live with that."
