Borough Man of The Match :
Scott Arnold

A crowd of over 100 saw an entertaining game at Turlin Moor. Alan Fooks came out of retirement to replace the unavailable Scott Smith and Kieron Wall was moved up from defence to partner him in the forward line.

Borough started well and were 3-0 up after only 8 minutes. Scott Arnold headed home a corner in the 5th minute and a minute later Alex Gunn crossed for Wall to score at the far post. Within 3 minutes Alan Fooks ran through and slotted the ball past Hollywood and Borough looked to be coasting.

Wareham fought back however and Puzey headed in a right wing cross after 12 minutes, and they also hit the bar twice. Borough should have gone further ahead just before half time, but Wall after rounding the keeper elected to pass to Fooks and the ball was cleared.

HT 3-1

At the start of the second half Wareham pulled back another goal when Landers was allowed to run through and score. Maitland then blocked a shot with his legs as Wareham looked to get back to level terms.

The combination of Fooks and Wall provided Borough's 4th goal when Fooks glanced a header into the path of Wall who went on to score. Borough's Shaun Clarke was booked for a tackle from behind and defender Dan Lomax was brought on for Sean Leaton with 10 minutes to go to make his debut.

Borough : Paul Maitland, James Edwards, Mark Reeks, Shaun Clarke, Sean Leaton (Dan Lomax 80), Kieron Wall, Alex Gunn, Matt Bircumshaw (Dan Herrington 56), Alan Fooks, Scott Arnold, Danny Saxby. Unused sub. Jamie Townsend
