Borough Scorers: Steve Russell 28, 72; Tony White 51.
Borough Man of the Match: Scott Orchard

Borough came from a goal behind to record their sixth straight home league victory following their win against local rivals Holt United.

Holt started brightly and Adam Nash had to leave his line quickly to deny Jason Lovell. Lovell and strike partner Simon Freak were causing the Borough defence problems and in the 23rd minute a Bradford free-kick found Lovell in the box and he side-footed past Nash to open the scoring.

Borough, however were level within five minutes when Alex Gunn won the ball on the right and Gary Fooks hit a low cross into the box which Steve Russell met and steered past the keeper.

Holt were stung back into action and Lovell had three chances within three minutes but could not beat Nash, while Borough's best opportunity to break the deadlock before the interval came when James Edwards hit a long range shot which cannoned down off the bar with the visitors keeper beaten.

Half Time 1-1

Borough started the second half well and Russell shot wide after Gunn had set him up. In the 51st minute the Hornets were awarded a free-kick was awarded on the edge of the area and as the Holt defence were taking time to organise their wall, player manager Tony White was alert to the opportunity and converted early into bottom corner of the net.

Freak had a chance for Holt when a long ball found him free but his shot was straight at Nash. At the other end both Alan and Gary Fooks came close to to extending Borough's lead before Russell gave the home side breathing space with his second in the 72nd minute, nipping in at the far post to convert a White free-kick after the cross had eluded Holt's tall defensive line

Holt were unable to find a way back into the game although Dick nearly reduced the deficit with a last minute header which just cleared the bar, but the victory saw Borough leapfrog their visitors to move into third place in the table.
