Borough Scorers: Anthony Warrington 22, David Perry 26, Gary Fooks 66.

Borough recorded their first win in four games with a comfortable victory against the Cranes at Turlin Moor to move up to fifth place.

Simon Jones came close for Borough inside 4 minutes when he just failed to get a clean connection to a cross from the right. On 10 minutes Anthony Warrington had a shot well saved only for the game to be brought back for an earlier hand ball and from the restart Cranborne fashioned their first brake away which resulted in a visiting forward being pulled back but the Cranes were unable to capitalise from the resulting free kick.

At the other end, Gary Fooks came close for Borough on 17 minutes with a close range header that was denied by a fine block before Warrington put the Hornets in front on 22 minutes collecting through ball from the right before converting with a superbly struck shot from 25 yards out into the top left hand corner.

Within four minutes Borough had doubled the lead after Gary Fooks made a strong run through the middle and slid an inch perfect pass into the path of David Perry who took the ball past the advancing keeper before slotting into an empty net.

With Borough continuing to push forward, the visiting keeper blocked a drive from Matt Welsh and did well to parry away a high ball into the box from Gary Fooks with Perry bearing down. Cranborne however carved out a chance before the break with a cross from the left, which eluded both forwards and defence as it flashed across the area.

Half Time 2-0.

After the break the Cranes created an early chance down the right and Warrington was forced to clear over his own bar. Perry was still creating problems every time he ran at the visiting defence and on 55 minutes he was pulled down outside the area and from the resulting free kick Sean Hebdon got his head to the ball but it went just over.

On 66 minutes Fooks increased the lead with his first goal of the season as he found some space wide on the right before cutting inside and lifting a high lob over the Crane's keeper into the empty net.

Borough contunited to pressure and Fooks created an opening for Dan Young down the left but he chip went over the keeper but just past the upright and on 79 minutes Perry got to the right by-line before pulling the ball back to Warrington at the edge of the area who made space before seeing his low shot cannon off the post.

However in the final stages Cranborne were denied a consolation goal as Hornets keeper Stuart Amey got across well to parry a long range shot a full stretch and preserve his clean sheet.

Borough:Stuart Amey, Matt Welsh, Danny Herrington, Gary Fooks, Sean Hebdon, Scott Orchard, Shaun Clarke (Dan Cockwell 66), Simon Edwards, David Perry, Anthony Warrington (Aaron Woldon 83), Paul Getley (Dan Young 65).
