(1) 1, Poole Borough (1) 1. Dorset Premier League Wednesday 14th December 2005 Borough Scorers: Lee Thomas 1. Borough gained a point against an experienced Dorchester side in an entertaining game. David Perry started his first game since injury and Tony Marney made his full first-team debut. Lee Thomas gave Borough the best possible start when he put the ball in the net only 15 seconds from the kick-off. Andy Barham threaded the ball through to the young striker and he shot low past Dorchester keeper Scott Corderoy. Minutes later a corner found Tony White but his volley was too high. Dorchester fought back and Larbi Mekechne and Ryan Moss, who both made appearances from the bench for Dorchester's Conference South side at the weekend, were prominent in their attacks. However, it was Borough who nearly extended their lead after 16 minutes, when Alex Jones found himself with only Corderoy to beat, but his shot was held by the keeper. Dorchester replied when Ryan Moss went on a strong run and surged past two challenges before striking the ball past Stuart Amey to level the score. Dan Young scored from a tight angle for Borough after a good passing move, but was adjudged to have been offside, whilst at the other end Amey was forced to tip a shot from Moss over the bar. Half Time 1-1. After the restart, David Perry had two chances to restore Borough's lead, but Corderoy blocked his shot when he went through on goal, and minutes later his lob over the keeper cleared the bar. Injuries to Eluadhi and Hebdon forced changes to the Borough line-up and Dorchester pressed for a winner. Kyle Juryeff blazed wide when well placed and Dave Allen headed over from a cross by Mekechne, but Borough's defence remained solid. Borough: Stuart Amey, Dan Young, Tony White, Simon Edwards, Sean Hebdon (Matt Welsh 63), Alex Jones, Wasim Eluadhi (Clarke 63), Andy Barham, David Perry, Lee Thomas, Tony Marney.
