Abandoned after 15 minutes - heavy rain & strong wind
Dorset Premier League
Saturday 30th December 2006

Supporters from both sides who braved the weather agreed at the start that it would be fortunate if the game completed and so it turned out as conditions deteriorated to a point where the referee had no option but to stop the game after only 15 minutes.

With both sides in agreement to start the fixture, Borough, with a strong wind against them had struggled to get the ball out of their half from kick-off. The only clear action of the game however came on 6 minutes when Doug Shear did well to tip a well struck drive from the edge of the area over the bar.

To the strong wind was added a heavy downpour and there were no complaints when the referee decided to abandon the game as it became almost impossible for either team to play football in the conditions.
